Coworker Spotlight – Amy Butler

Amy Butler-finalHave an amazing life story to tell? Perhaps you’d like to leave a keepsake for your loved ones to enjoy for generations? Have you met Amy Butler, our Cowork Waldo Member in the Spotlight?

Amy is the owner/creator of The Story Scribe, LLC, a memoir writing service she founded in 2010. Always interested in other people’s stories, it wasn’t until a few years ago that she discovered there is an entire industry devoted to helping others preserve those stories. What followed was a bit of kismet combined with good business decisions. After deciding to join the Association of Personal Historians, the local paper ran a story on personal histories, and voila, her first client found her.

Amy loves learning about people; where they grew up, their passions, joys, tragedies. She has worked with many clients over the years, from nurses to philanthropists, pioneers in aviation to military soldiers. With these stories, Amy has learned chapters in history that she previously never knew, and it’s one of the main reasons she loves her work as much as she does. As a single mom, she feels fortunate to work with many different individuals in a way that also supports herself and her kids.

Amy’s friend Lori Bryan (another Cowork Waldo member) introduced her to coworking at Cowork Waldo. Immediately, she was inspired by the positive atmosphere and decided to become a member. Not one for a traditional office setting, she draws energy from the coworkers around her and the background busyness that coworking provides.

Say hi to Amy the next time you stop by Cowork Waldo. She has an amazing story to tell too!
