Cowork Waldo’s Newest Artist Offers A Vision in Nature & Spirit

jen-benny_6x5_img_2977_sqCowork Waldo’s newest artwork features the beautiful photography of local fine art photographer Jenifer Cady. The serene and sometimes quirky photos combine the flow, texture, and design of the natural world with Jenifer’s own quest for spiritual vision.

In her own words, “As a photographer, I have traveled to many parts of America in search of the spirit that reigns not only in the landscape but also in me, so as to know who I am. I use photography as a writer uses a journal: making notes and recording the sounds of my own thoughts through the camera. As did Minor White, I approach my art as meditation.”

After earning a Masters in both photography and art, Jenifer has taught at Kansas City universities, had her work published by Town & Country, Random House, & Hallmark, and has had solo exhibitions locally as well as in Los Angeles, California. Her work was honored by Photospiva 2000, a juried competition by Keith F. Davis, Director of Fine Arts for Hallmark, the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, and the Municipal Art Commission of Kansas City. Jenifer uses her talent to reproduce fine art for exhibitions, publications, and archival records and has been asked to photograph some of the finest private art collections in the country.

Discover Jenifer’s photography at Cowork Waldo now through the month of November, and at our Artist’s Reception on Saturday, October 15th from 5-8 pm. Enjoy drinks and light appetizers, and meet Jenifer as she showcases some of her recent work.
