Amy M Jones is a photographic and sculptural artist from Manhattan, Kansas. She briefly attended The Kansas City Art Institute and has earned a BS in Management and a Masters in Liberal Arts from Baker University. After spending the last 30 years focusing on her photographic art, she has returned to school at Johnson County Community College, where she is taking ceramic and sculpture classes and earning her certificate in welding. She currently lives in Kansas City, Missouri.
In Amy’s own words:
“When I was 12, I hijacked my dad’s camera and in just one day I was hooked. For Christmas that year, I received a Minolta X-370 and haven’t stopped photographing my world since. I developed my love for landscape photography in the Flint Hills region of Kansas. While I have traveled much of the US, I have found myself by continuing to return to the gravel roads and open expanses of prairie. I return more often now, answering the call of my heart, and capturing the serenity the rolling hills offer.”
Join us on Sunday, March 19th from 5-7pm at Cowork Waldo to celebrate Amy’s Art.
